Open spaces and community facilities

The development is designed to create a vibrant, lively, mixed-use community including facilities such as a small supermarket, shops, health centre and a public house, aimed at meeting local needs.

The Towcester Southern Extension proposals include significant green areas on the development for all residents to enjoy. Two large green spaces will follow both of the existing brooks and these spaces will be connected to the wider green infrastructure. A green route will also separate the development from the relief road. Nine play areas are planned across the development.

The character of Wood Burcote has been respected and carefully considered by providing strategic landscpaing and open space, whilst a proposed new road closure will avoid any through-traffic impact.

Local centres would be provided for the convenience of residents, whilst also complementing the existing town centre.
